    ... reading online. We think this is infinitely achievable but because of the refit of the boat and the sparing/provisions for the rally we have not hit this yet. We are getting close to a ‘normal existence now and hopefully April will bring us into our ‘normal’ spending patterns.     ... painted as jig as the building itself. There was loads of little quirky cafes where you'd walk in a small door and it would open up like you were in a huge greenhouse. We went to 'Kek Lok Si' the biggest temple (Wat) in South East Asia which was pretty cool and the view was amazing.
    Then we discovered the food!! Oh my. We'd heard that Penang was famed for its street food, some say it's the best in Asia for its mixture of Malay, Indian and Chinese. Well I may have to ...

    ... and it has worked out absolutely fine and only excellent experiences!

    Anders got his wish through and we rented a moped for a day, to be able to experience other parts of the island. In about 20 minutes we were already in the other main city of the island, Kuah. Anders also got to see the hotel were his family stayed when visiting some 15-20 years ago.

    Now we have to run to pick up our laundry, which set us back 7 Ringgit (1,7€) - so excited to see how that worked ...

    ... when a group of men asked to take a photo with me. Poor mum, she was running between me being scared of bridges and standing on the viewing platform that was like a bridge and Dad who was at the bottom of the stairs clinging to the wall against the mountain, too scared to come up the stairs to look at the view. Dad finally made it up by himself - I think he was very proud. We then caught another gondola up to the top ...

    ... checked in at Mali Mali Beach Resort (we had to take a family room for the first night but got the beach room from then onwards)and don't let the name 'resort' fool you - it was just a room and a tiny pool, no restaurant or anything else. Our room is the only one here that opens out onto the sand. How lucky are we again?

    We have managed to find a full English breakfast for Bryan ...
