... to buy a jar of coffee for the flat every time we ran out. Still I didn't mind, it was nice to buy a coffee for a lad who was obviously too busy with his many ventures as well as full time shelter volunteer to make it down to the corner shop!

So both interesting characters in their own way really and I guess amongst looking after the dogs it made the time fly by quickly. As always I really enjoyed my time helping out. The dogs there are wonderful ...

... than we could get at home. We did notice Langkawi duty free was substantially cheaper.
Now certainly not on par with Singapore's airport hotel (that place is amazing) but certainly good and gave us a good chance to get Amelia to sleep before our flight at 10:20pm.

We hung around and enjoyed their company until it became too dark, as there are no street lights of any kind. We had to be up really early to catch the ferry to Langkawi. At the ticket office near the jetty at 7:15am and it felt like I had slept in a room the temperature of the sun, a nice way to start the day.

After an hour or so sitting around the most sparse boat waiting room ever we were finally on board and gliding through the water towards Langkawi. I might be wrong here but I thought the DVD they put on 'Captain Phillips' and a very badly subtitled copy at that, was ...
