... vehicular ferry across so we took it just to see where it would lead us. Although the route turned out to be much further west than we had planned, it was nonetheless, very picturesque and enjoyable and certainly preferable to the alternative motorway route. With careful onward navigating we managed to find our way to our friends' house in West Ryde where we had arranged to spend the next few days
... we thought we were in Australia! Instead we stock up on food, head for a campsite in Belmont early and stay in stuffing our faces and watching Dexter. And the bloody campsite is expensive, because normally this area is beautiful but right now we hate it! Luckily we have an ensuite bathroom - very fancy aye. But even the dash from van to toilet gets you soaking wet. What a rubbish ...
Time is near as we all run around doing last minute things, hairdressers, mani, pedi, spray tan ??? Only kidding but we are getting excited. Keep posted for our departure only 3 days to go. ... but we finally snuggled into our comfortable own bed with my own pillows and doona - ahhhhh ..... Woke up this morning at 5:00 ready to get up but didn't. Tried to wake up at 7:00 with the alarm - hmmm not so easy! That's ok - it will get better. Au revoir from me - our holiday has finished and so has this blog. I guess the key statistic is the overall cost per night of $67.91, which is comparatively very cheap accommodation. I don't like thinking about the quality of a motel costing the same per night.
In the final analysis we enjoyed the holiday very much, the strange thing was that Jude slept much better in the Van than she does at home.
