... We put our camp up in Princetown for the night. Around a big campfire we made a great dinner of steak, potatoes from the grill and a bread salad. The biggest kangaroos hopping by, that I have ever seen here (almost intimidating and scary). The next morning we headed off early to see the Twelve Apostles. A magnificent view over these by erosion formed apostles of limestone, rocks, cliffs and the beautiful blue ocean surrounding them. Although they're called the twelve apostles, we ...

... probably not the best plan! We got our car, with a free upgrade to a Mitsubishi Outlander which apparently is 4 wheel drive, and no off road restrictions apply it would appear! (Not that has technically actually stopped us before). All little riverfront settlements on the hawksbury and other rivers with nothing there but ...

... you want to go! We also started heading towards Wyong, which I'm sure we went past about an hour ago! Unfortunately it was around 3.30 so we got stuck with all the school 40km zones. We literally drove for half an hour at 40kph as we would no sooner get out of one school zone, when we went straight back into another one. SO frustrating to travel so slowly! At one stage we found we were travelling behind a school bus filled with young girls, about 12 years of age. A couple ...

    Australia Kangaroo Park

A travel blog entry by dianeandmike on Jan 09, 2014

Today we stopped at the Australia Kangaroo petting Park where we had an opportunity to meet some kangaroos in a domesticated setting. Quite astonishing. They are a very calm animal who move slowly and seem to be at peace. I guess once you have been fed you feel like laying down. We also ...
