Ostend, Belguim was a quick 2 night stopover on our way to Amsterdam.

It had a huge beach and a large esplanade with some cool orange art features.

Lets just say I'm sure he felt the love when the 30 odd of us left descended on him in a massive group hug!!! As customs was fast we were able to catch an earlier ferry (by 1hr) so no waiting around. Gorgeous day, so clear. Could see the Cliffs of Dover as though they ...

To beer or not to beer

... flavoured things, I declined and moved on. If we couldn't have beer, we wanted to try something else Belgium is famous for. We're on holidays and you only live once, right? So off we went to the markt to check out the tea rooms. We settled in, Mum with a pot of coffee, me with a tall glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice, and before we knew it we both had a hot waffle topped with fresh strawberries and cream placed in front of us. The waffle itself ...
