... until 7pm. Then some more faffing ensued because we couldn't work out where to park in the apartment complex. But, it was sorted out eventually with a couple of false starts due to tiredness and we eventually ate, showered and were asleep by 8:30pm!

The apartment is nice. 2 bedroom, with amazing walk in wardrobes!! The blinds could be darker, and there a couple of little things wrong with it, but its clean and will do as a base of operations for our explorations for sure!

After a false start going to the wrong Valet service (they were confusingly both coloured purple), we handed over our vehicle and tested out our new luggage. We all had brand new matching luggage for the trip. By coincidence the suitcases and the overnight bags could be fitted together on the handle which made transporting them ...

... see to work, we settled in to a very comfortable room. We went outside to the supermarket to buy some milk. Unfortunately we bought yoghurt. The metro station is very close and we took a look at how it worked. Again, once inside you have to pass through the pay gates. We turned back through the entrance! After a bit of planning, a hectic few weeks, a great Puck Fair 400 and some tough good byes, we're off on our way around the world.

Kind of crept up on us in the end!

... and headed up the articulated arm where we followed signs for passport control. Along the corridor at the top and to a set of doors... which were locked. After a lot of banging and shouting at mirrored windows and the doors themselves and with the corridor now full of close to 300 people from the plane, we had to get a message back to the handling staff at the aircraft via Chinese whispers. Eventually the doors sprang open and we all dissipated into the airport, homeward bound. ...
