... the National Monument we took the bus past the White House, but this time the North Lawn of the White House where we got out there and took a few shots before looking for somewhere to eat. We hadn't had lunch so we ducked in the first diner we could find and came across a great spot that obviously very popular with the locals. We made on the Metro sometime after 7pm and on the freeway to home by 8pm. I was very glad to get back to base and off those freeways....they have crazy drivers here!
