I walked back to the station and then down to the Capitol, which grows impressively in your vision as you walk towards it.       The weather was supposed to cold and wet today, so the idea was to spend the day inside.

      Unfortunately, there is not much parking anywhere close to the National Mall, except 2 hour street parking, so it was 1/2 mile walk from the parking garage to the Air and Space Museum.

      I did not realize how much one could walk just browsing around museums, so ...

      I then headed over to the simulator rides and flew a fighter jet which was pretty cool and not that bloody easy I'll give you the tip.

      I rounded out my visited by heading up to the observation tower which provides a 360 degree bird's eye view of Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area. It was great as you can watch planes landing and taking off whilst listening to the air traffic control tower at Dulles, 'live'.
