... some water and snacks, then *finally* made it back to the hotel. The kids crashed hard. DH checked out our dinner options within the hotel; we ended up just eating snacks for dinner. We all showered and went to bed. It was a great day; the three kids really enjoyed seeing everything. I know we adults did too. It had been many years since I had been there, so it was great seeing the city and all it has to offer once again.

We drove to downtownWheeling. Wheeling is a city in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. The Ohio River passed through it. We saw the old suspension bridge. We ate lunch at the Coleman Fish Market and tasted their famous fish sandwich. It is located in the Centre market which was in operation ...

... we got to the reflecting pool and it was empty as they were cleaning it. Still we had a good chat with one of the workers who explained why they were putting bales of hey with blocks of concrete on them all the way down the pool. Apparently it's an enviromentaly friendly way of cutting down the algae that forms in the water, as the chemicals they had been using were killing the fish out in the river.

... of wheelchairs and this is taking forever, I whisper to him to keep an eye on the newly returned, empty wheelchairs. Sure enough. Someone clandestinely walks up, looks around and takes them. And then PRESTO! CHANGO! There are two more people in wheelchairs in line to get assistance onto the plane and early boarding. We start laughing. Soon I am just taking the empty wheelchairs to the center of the waiting group to make it easier for them ...

... This story goes further. The Ft. Myers car must be upset about being alone so much. My brother was driving it the other day and it called to report itself under attack while he was driving it. He was trying to get something out of the center console and the latch was stuck. When he forced it open the car tattled on him and called On-Star again and reported someone was trying to break in again. That'll teach him to leave the car alone so much!
