    ... Enjoyed the dramatic coast line of Oregon & Northern California. Awe struck by the majestic Redwoods. They were amazing.
    Soaked in the beauty of Lake Tahoe & our hikes there were fantastic. We marveled at the Rocky Mountains & the national park there.

    I am an addict for the American West but may plan a southeast road trip loop next...

    ... so she was outside waving to us, and even managed to snap our picture as we flew overhead.

    When we got to the house around 6, I had a chance to visit with Ron and Andrea as they fixed dinner and took care of all the kids, while Alex played with the lot of them. We had a great family-style dinner of burgers, potato salad and water melon, then desert made from ice cream sandwiches (one of my favorite comfort foods).

    ... mountains. Eventually back in West Virginia, when we got to Morgantown, we turned north onto I-78 into PA.
    We took the interstate to Washington and turned onto Chestnut Road. From there, Vance Station Road (bearing right to continue onto Vance Station) and then onto KOA road and into the campground.

    The campground was nothing to write home about, and we most likely will not return to the same one again. It had a small pool ...
