... other and found a newly opened espresso shop underground offering half price coffee so we popped in for a caffeine hit, or in our case a double hit. The coffee was really good and as it was half price we treated ourselves to two lattes each and sat in there having a chat with the girl who worked there. It was empty so she had nothing better to do!

Headed to Ocean beach so the kids could do some body boarding as the rip tide isn't as strong as mission or pacific beaches. It's a lot more bohemian and hippy with tie dye clothes, cool independent surf shops and cafés .
Spent the afternoon body boarding . Bec, Pippa and Bella loved it and as the afternoon drew in they became more and more confident . Des got wiped out a couple of times then we called it a day. Big waves ...

After the guy with the acoustic guitar finished he went of stage and came back with some friends all wearing wigs and playing 80s hair metal. It was excellent fun. We parked by the marina and walked along the harbour wall before driving further down and walking along Stearns Wharf - had we known we would have parked on the wharf itself!!! Santa Barbara beach front was different great and Richard enjoyed seeing all the beach volleyball courts along the beach front. We really enjoyed driving along the coastal highway.
