... a small neighborhood east of hip, idyllic neighborhoods like North Park and Normal Heights. In my 20 + years of residing in San Diego I had never ventured into this area. Strange how moving 1,000 of miles away from home forces you to experience the parts of your hometown you may have otherwise never seen.

Upon reaching the end of Normal Heights, Kensington welcomed us with a large sign that stretched from a "bougie" Starbucks to the adjacent ...

Dave cooked an amazing steak dinner for us. We had sushi for an appetizer. It's still pretty chilly here right ...

We went back to the hostel and decided to stay in as we were going to sea world tomorrow. We woke up to our alarm and got a taxi to sea world as it was way too far to walk. We arrived around midday and spent the day watching all the shows and walking around to see the animals. There was ...

Day 36 - Beach & Mexican Food In San Diego

A travel blog entry by rachelward1992 on Jul 25, 2013

Today we went to the San Diego beach and relaxed for a couple of hours sunbathing on the beach. We stayed there till around 4/5ish then we all went and got some Mexican food and ate it in a little grassy patch near the beach. We then went back to the campsite and had a final campfire and make s'mores and talked about our time on the ...
