    ... Phoenix and Casa Grande, we saw a huge herd of mustangs running across the dessert at full speed. It was very cool to see those wild horses (a highlight of animal siteings for me).

    Google maps said the drive would take about 6 hours from LA; we left about 7.30am and arrived at the Grand Canyon Village at 5.30pm.
