    In the morning I headed out to Phoenix as I had ordered a pair of hiking shoes sent to that store from Boulder.

    Saw lots of road runner cartoon cactus here! Such a change in elevation and and increase in temperature here! Warmth at last! I had icicles on the roof of my topper from my breath this morning.
