I took my Phantom 2 Vision + Drone out for some flying and picture taking. Followed Interstate 41 to Florida 92, which is the south road to Marco Island. Spotted a great location to take-off and land right near the bridge. There was a Osprey nest on a high man made pole off to the side of the bridge. No birds in sight, so I flew the Phantom up to take a look. No eggs or babies in the nest, but two Ospreys came by to check out what I was ...

Hello everyone! David here! We are here in sunny Florida! It took us a while, but we finally made it to Florida. We are not quite to our destination. We plan on showing up at Key Largo for our jobs tomorrow morning.
We left Warner Robins, GA and left for Naples, Florida the same day (Nov. 29th). Our first ( and possibly our last) full day was yesterday. We have been staying with Ible's sister and her boyfriend. ...

After lunch we walked over to a couple of stores nearby and spent some time looking at other campground options in the area for January. We went into town for dinner with frank and Johanne - ate at Tommy Bahamas. Then we walked along 3rd street - all of their Christmas lights and decorations are up and there were several places where musicians were playing on outside patios so you could stop ...

... very hot again today. We went to Total Wine for vodka to take home, then Walmart as mum was buying a wee cabin case then onto Cracker Barrell for tea. We did some last minute shopping in there too, I bought some decorations for our Xmas tree. Back to the villa and did all our packing, then sat outside by the pool and had a few drinks. It's been such a great holiday, loved every minute. Stayed in a beautiful villa with lovely outlook to the lake, trees and flowers. Lots of great memories ...

      Positive Pairings

A travel blog entry by robthurston on Apr 25, 2014

Pirates in Somalia and elsewhere still rob ships moving cargo in their waters. We see these cargo ships go to great lengths to protect themselves. They use water cannons sometimes and sound weapons to keep the pirates in their little boats at bay. But often the big ships can't keep the pirates off. So the crews are taken hostage. Why can’t they build the ship so that the center of the ship is essentially a safe room? Basically install a panic room (traditionally ...
