    ... to the Grand Canyon was highly amusing in that it failed to follow any sort of schedule. Petrified Forest took longer than expected and then my GPS was reporting an hour long traffic jam at Flagstaff. So we decide to stop at Denny’s to kill some time.

    It was a truck-stop Denny’s in the middle of nowhere, so you should be able to imagine the locals there. Let’s just say they had three TVs blasting Fox News ...

    ... would pick us up & take us several miles to Pearce Ferry. That meant rearranging & reconfiguring the rafts. We disembarked, unloaded everything. The guides removed the pontoons on each side of the 2 rafts. Then all of us piled on the pontoons to deflate them after which the guides & many of us carefully rolled them up to be stored on the rafts where our bags used to be.     ... flying in the setting sun before us. After a short 20 minute journey we touched down to refuel. We did a quick seat changeover so Anne and Colin could have a romantic date up front. The grand finale was the final flight back over the sparkling Las Vegas strip. An incredible end to an amazing experience.
