... in her. " you will have to check your carry ons as we are now completely full" she announces quite loudly to a chorus of Peruvian curses....followed by " Seņor if you don't understand my requests I can ask the authorities to explain it to you" to the two hombres who wanted to re-adjust the United Airlines overhead layout arrangements. Later that day, just when we were all overhead checked in and taxied for takeoff a very old short Peruvian plumbing pipe shaped ...

    Changes I made

A travel blog entry by cth-road on Jan 28, 2015

Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.

Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

Her latest American phrase to pick up is "You're kidding me!". Last week, Jim was teasing her and she said, "Mom, tell dad to stop".   That's pretty darn good English in my books. She has learned to swim, she's been willing to try any new foods we've offered her (and with chef Jim that's something new ...

... to ride in a Barbie car..every meal is a first time she's tried something new. She's met her grandparents and her great grandmother. She's met our family dog (which up to now has been the most traumatic event). In her country, dogs are more commonly on the menu than running loose in your home. After climbing Jim and refusing to put her feet on the ground, we finally got her to calm down enough to ...
