On November 11, 2014, we will be leaving Holland, MI and going to Bluefields, Nicaragua to stay for 7 weeks with our friends, RCA missionaries Adrian and Bernardeth Kelly-Bobb. Adrian is a pastor and Bernardeth is a medical doctor. We will be helping in their daily feeding program for 120 children that live in the slums of Bluefields. We will also be working at 2 group homes; 1 for adolescent boys and another for adolescent ...

Today we left our last KOA in LaSalle/Peru, IL and headed East. The truck traffic was again very heavy. This will be a short run of about 90 miles on our way to our first stop at Cabela's. Our timing is not great as we are heading East on I-80 in the rush hour 8:00 to 9:00 am. Now the weather said no rain this morning. We the weathermen in IL are no better than MI as they are batting not better than 50% ...

A chalkboard informs him of the quantity of each vegetable one is entitled to so we walk away with 2 beautiful heads of a red and pale green 'striped' mignonette lettuce with which I am not familiar, a bunch of Spring Onions (of which he was entitled to 2), 1bunch of ...

Why did I pick all the wrong flights.

My first flight from Grand Rapids to Detroit was just fine. Actually, I had two seats to myself. But, that flight was only 35 minutes long. When we landed I had 45 minutes to get off the plane and travel to the other side of the airport to catch my flight to Italy. After running and sweating my way towards the other side, I made it with plenty of time. The gate attendant was nice enough to check my bag for me. I got on the plane and went to my seat and the guy next to ...
