... to point on rabbits, squirrels and birds. Her favorite greeting is with something in her mouth and "growling" affectionately at you. She makes great eye contact, is finally starting to learn words (typical of rescues), loves walks and keeps Donna company during the day, never leaving her side.
East Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States tmdjGrand Rapids, MI... I have nothing to say really. It decided to start raining like crazy the minute we crossed the Michigan border. Needless to say, I didn't feel like exploring much in the rain. But, our show went well, we had an excellent crew in a great space, so I can't really complain. I just hope Michigan gets a bit better.
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States tourdevTuesday 7/28

Photography day is here or was. Dan the model called to ask permission to bring a model friend along and so did. Started at 10 am and finished at about 2pm having made over 1000 images. Now the processing of those images, down to a very few, begins when I get back in town. Dan and Braxton both said it was fun and I had a good time as well. Time to think about supper and getting this place cleaned up. Tomorrow its back to da lake and …

The sun has set, the sky is light gray and there is a very nice reflection of that sky on the lake surface. From where I am setting ...
Greenville, Michigan, United States alderpan... my trip will lead me to Nevada, where I will be getting an apartment with my friend from high school. Until then, the only home I know is the road!

Post-Script: Since my last post I've learned that The Peace Corps is not going to be an option for me at least until 5 years from now. They want their applicants to have a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of experience in their field, or preferrably BOTH. So, I'm gonna have to hold off on that for now.
Kent City, Michigan, United States joelmcgill... and its idiosyncracies, I don't think it will be as time-consuming to put something together. Nor will I have to do quite so much research. We have thought a bit about what we'd like to see and do while we're over there, but I should probably start putting things down on paper. It's my busy time at work, plus it's tax season; things are going to be wild and time is going to fly for the next few months so I'd better get a move on.
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States zyberg74... and snow to head to dinner at Bistro Bella Vita. A very, very cool place. We had some girly martinis and a nice dinner and I was reminded time and time again why I fell in love with Carl in the first place. Ahhh, sappy, isn't it? That's the thing about Grand Rapids that they don't tell you. Love is in the air....even when it's -20 outside.
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States cheekymonkey... dominant. It´s cold. You don´t want to go outside, but the heat in your house also doesn´t keep you warm enough. Imagine this, if you dare. You wake up for work or school. It´s still very dark. Your bed has finally reached a snug coziness, and you have to leave to have each un-clothed part of your body picked on by the cold. By the time you bring yourself to turn off the warm shower, your poor body trembles as it dries. You put on seventeen ...

This is because the point of street ping pong is to pack into sweaty scrums with fourteen other 360-pound lunatics and try to kick a football-shaped ball four feet behind the sweaty 360-pound guy whose hand is in your ****** and whose head is up your - no, wait, that's the point of rugby, if there is a point to rugby. Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States modernoddyseus... began. The mixture was a perfect texture of mouth-conforming mush, with enough taste crammed inside that it could've woken up a dead person. "Now, we all talk about how good this sweetchum is," said Jason. I took a bite and said, "I like the combination of extreme coldness, extreme sourness, and extreme sweetness." My brother said, "I like how the roof of my mouth is experiencing degrees of temperature it's never felt before." "I like it," said Bill. I ...
