        ... The deeper into Minnesota we get, the trees give way to farm land and wide open spaces! The crops are turning golden and harvest won't be too far away.         Driving south of Regina on Hwy 6, not even a tiny turn was needed! An 8-10 mile stretch south of Weyburn, Sask provided quite the active oil fields. Oil wells seem to be Iocated near or at the top of a knoll.....and in the middle of a wheat field or other crops. Pipelines are being installed. Heavy equipment and huge trucks fill the landscape. Water and chemical hauling trucks raced down ...

        ... it did open. The only thing it had going for it was gas stations. There were a lot of those.
        We stopped for the night in Turtle River State Park. A gorgeous little place way off in the woods. It is just outside a city called Arvilla which is located just west of Grand Forks. Our last night in North Dakota looks to be peaceful and beautiful.
