    Going home

Stayed over in Charlotte last night. It was our first experience with AirBNB and it went well. Jonathan and his partner were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. On the other hand our flight experience was not nearly as good. USAir/American Airlines really screwed the pooch. They were asking for volunteers to give up seats and we decided ...

You quickly remember why travel is an experience in chaos and long, long airline sky and terminal time.

Our plane was about an hour late leaving Madrid. Good thing, pilot picked up speed and arrived in Charlotte, South Carolina at our appointed time. Really nice aisle seats across from each other with plenty of leg room. (Of course there was we had already paid extra for seat upgrades). Everyone had their own little mobile seat unit with ...

I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

I'm going to keep my eyes, mind, and heart open and have a great time!

Chillin in the morning because we knew it would be a hot afternoon and a late night. About 2:30 we headed over to the track to see the Little Big town Concert. We chose to sit in the grandstands instead of going to the infield (no seating, no shade there). We could use our scanners to hear the concert and see it on the huge screen projection. Then headed back to camp to have dinner and then head back ...

... 911 and pretty soon a fire truck and ambulance came with lights flashing. Well that put a halt to the music and by the time the EMS were finished examining her, it was almost time for the concert to be finished and people were beginning to leave.

Tomorrow we're on the road again, but only 160 miles, however, we are having "G/G" weighed tomorrow so it may be after 11 before we get on the road. See you tomorrow night from Asheville.
