I was absolutely blown away by the Dry Falls area. I had taken Hwy 2 to Hwy 17 just out of sheer randomness, noting that part of Hwy 17 was designated "scenic"... and I guessed well. The initial glance made me think of the Grand Canyon: steep walls carved out of the rock, with water below. Impressive, massive, gorgeous. ... we need a new muffler and definitely some improved suspension. I misjudged a driveway one night and drove right over a curb, denting a rim and causing the subsequent loss of two hubcaps. Otherwise the van was totally reliable and proved to be solid transportation.

Thanks again to everyone who cheered us on, made comments on the blog (we love reading them), and provided us with shelter, sustenance, and wonderful hospitality. Maybe next year ...
