... and went to our rooms. Carol and I both took a shower and got into summer clothes. We decided the best way to relax after such long flying hours was to get a massage in the hotel spa. We each got a full body, one hour oil massage for $30. They were all good and helped us relax.
We took a tuk tuk (an open air cart pulled by a motorcycle). It was so fun! We ...

    Ain't no mountain high enough

I find myself in another US airport today. There's a huge window about 10 meters high looking out to the air strips here at Seattle airport, so I'm sat in front of that watching the planes take off and chilling out in a rocking chair. Yup. They have rocking chairs lined up along the window. It's kinda fun.

We walked around there for awhile and ate lunch at the Alaskan Sourdough Bakery. Evan and I both got paninis. There were so good! The bread was the best part. I hope that is indicative of what kind of bread we will get in Alaska! Along the piers they had a small market set up. It had lots of booths with autistics selling jewelry, ...

... of the landscapes through the windows of the planes and airports. Prairies...to desserts...to snow covered mountains. We also experienced a wide range of temperatures...70's in Minneapolis...101 degrees in Phoenix...and 50's in Seattle. Flying is not something I enjoy and the flights seemed to take forever. Having good "seat neighbors" on each leg of our flight did make the time go by ...

Caitlin and a Visit to Ruebens Micro Brew

A travel blog entry by refrider on Oct 19, 2013

... serve beer and no food. Ruebens had 4 Imperial Ales on the list! I sampled all 4 and they were delicious. The other brewery was Populux. These breweries are in industrial space and small, but cool. I met one of Caitlin's co-workers at Populux. We then went to a whiskey / BBQ bar for dinner. They had a whole wall of American distilled whiskey. Not a bottle of Vodka, Gin or Scotch in the place. Only Americam whiskey, an lots of choices. We finished the night ...
