I'm going to start with Boise, Idaho even though I'm living in Ontario, Oregon. It's the closest that the www.travelpod.com FB application has to my home.
Anyway, I felt I needed to keep a travel log of where I will be going, what I will be doing so that friends and family will be able to keep up ...
... televisions on all night, and talked on the balcony above us until we had to wake the managers up at 12:30 a.m. to talk with them. The off site manager was nice enough to send someone over to talk to them - but it started up all over again the very next night. They badly need an onsite manager or office people all night. The noise was HORRIBLE!!!
Meridian, Idaho, United States smilnlady... had a bad leak. Lying in bed, we were on the ground in no time, so we pulled out the couch bed (the bed I remember sleeping in while having sleepovers at the Saxby’s in elementary and middle school). In the morning, Jenna sent us off with blueberry scones she made the night before, as well as some more snacks. I wish we could have visited longer. But Jenna is coming to SoCal in December, so I am looking forward to seeing her then.
Boise, Idaho, United States flyingfonteins... br>Southwestern Washington, and the northwestern part of Oregon we went through and a small portion of Idaho had the large windturbins. We have seen the blades on semi's and they are longer than the trailer bed.
And of course what can I say about the mountains (especially for someone who has lived in Florida most of their lives) but awesome. Terry and I have decided there must not be many lawyers here since most of the roads ...
... I felt the history of this place.
I pulled off the highway onto a gravel road, I ended up 3 miles further by a farm where the gravesite of Baptiste Charbonneau, the youngest member of the Lewis & Clark party had met his end thanks to pnuemonia. Charlie and i had to jump the log fence to see the gravesites. He was the son of the ...
... choices (Meg watched Hanna Montana movie another 4 or 5 times, Paul got to watch the newest Star Trek, Bobby enjoyed Monster Vs. Aliens and there was a Monk episode for me. NO ONE even came close to fighting. Plus they had games for the kids, and even better, it wasn’t full so I scooted over across the aisle and got to lay down to sleep (more or less).
... Trail pathway park you cold see very distinctive ruts and the path that the original settlers traveled. At Bonneville Point you could walk through the foothills next to the Boise Mountains. You can see from the photos that the trail is over-grown, but it is very distinctive when you are standing in the ruts. At Lucky Peak Dam and Reservoir, we searched for unique rocks. The lake is was ...
Boise, Idaho, United States leonardgrillDrive today is from La Grande to Boise Idaho. Weather was really nice with the end of the day at 80. The drive itself was very pretty and a road that neither Pat nor I had ever been on. The traffic was quite light for most of the day until we got close to Boise. Along he way we stopped at Farewell Bend State Park to give the dogs some exercise. It was great and there was a run for the dogs that allowed them to be off leash. We both decided ...
Boise, Idaho, United States shiplingI am up early to get ready for my trip. I hope I don't forget anything, that is always a worry. But there are always stores along the way. I do need to remember my pillow. I always sleep better with my own. Lee will pick me up after he gets off work, around 6:30 am. to take me to the airport. Thank ...
