    ... out of LA was fun but once we were on the highway it was amazing, the terrain and the views were lovely - even from the seat of our car we could see that this place was gorgeous!!
    We arrived at Bakersfield in good time although there really isn't much to do around here so we decided to chill out as tomorrow would be the long drive to up the pacific coast highway to monterey!
    We are very much looking forward to this and actually can't wait to get back on the road ...

    The distance from Las Vegas to the California border was only about 50 miles. On the way, we could see a large mountain range ahead of us, at first difficult to see due to the distance, and hidden by fog, smog or dust. The further we drove, the closer we were to the mountains (duh).

    ... couldn’t get any better than it is…not a cloud in the sky. This place is certainly on the par of a natural wonder. The only word from our mouths the whole time in the park was wow. We stopped in various places to capture some footage and photos but to be honest they don’t do it justice. Next stop Oakhurst for a spot of lunch.
