They were also talking to us about how many of the children will re offend to get back in because they have a structure and supervision from 6am til 9pm which includes school, extracurricular activities, supervised free time, 3 hours excercise a day and adults who, for the most part actually care about where these kids are going. ... JFK airport at about 5:30 this evening, and it's 17 hours to South Africa, with a refueling stop in Senegal. Never been on such a long flight, it's going to be exhausting. Three meals, 5 or 6 movies...it's like an entire waking day in the air. The first leg is entirely over the Atlantic Ocean, as the airport in Senegal is about 200 meters from the coast.
