    ... and I honestly get frustrated at my own abilities to endure such obstacles. That is usually the moment when I have reluctantly learned to hope for help and then simply ask for it. Somehow... somehow... it always seems to present itself in one form or another. For that, I am truly grateful because as hard as I try, I could not do this alone.

    ... Clearly a dog lover, Matt had 5 dogs, 2 retired police dogs (they retire at 8 years old). He said drug crime was on the up and was kept "real busy". He wished us on our way, and we told him to keep safe.

    It got to that point where we were hungry. so we stopped at McDonalds, (for quickness, and the first on of our trip). The portions are HUGE, even the straws are wider.

    ... Route 66 a few years back on a PUSHBIKE!!! We got chatting. They were adorable. Mark went for a wee at the shop (all shops have restrooms, some much cleaner than others, but you gotta go when you gotta go!). The Arch was quite amazing to see - about 200 metres tall and with the legs the same width apart - built to honour the building of the first bridge across the Mississippi in St Louis which provided a gateway to opening up the western plains of America.     ... I hate wearing it. I will take a soaking right down to my gaunchies rather than put it on. Usually when I am soaked right down to my gaunchies I am regretting not putting on my rain suit though!
