... landscape we see, called the rocklands, are just the tops of the mountains peeking through the sand and grass of the prairie. The rest is compeltly concealed underground. Absolutly beautiful, rugged, wild and BLAZINGLY HOT! But at least it was in Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping round the bend, so it is tolerable.

Lawton is a nice town and very oriented to the military personnel. Saw lots of ways that they show respect for the troops stationed there. The surrounding area is nice, pretty flat and not highly forested but not a lot of farmland there.
