    ... Philadelphia, who just happened to be from Italy - very near to where my grandmother lived. He gave me some great advice and wished me a wonderful trip. What are the odds?

    After that conversation and before my alarm this morning, I ran into a little setback but had a great gal come through for me. You know who you are and you saved the day - rather the next 3 1/2 weeks and potentially a lot of money! Tu molto simpatica! Grazie!

    ... collected my luggage and caught the shuttle bus round to The Crowne Plaza Hotel it was about 6:45. I got into my room and had a quick shower then went to meet Omabe and Yuni in their room. We tried to stay up and wait for Lexx, Hannah and Lyndsey but by 10pm they still weren't back so I said goodbye and went to bed. I think in total I have been up for about 22 hours today but I gained 5 so I get a full nights sleep before the trek properly begins ...

    ... with a salad and a brownie or pasta with a salad and a brownie (but those who wanted pasta had to wait since it was not cooked all the way and they would have to put it back in) I chose the chicken since the flight attendant said the pasta was in a red sauce and I really don't like red sauce.     ... winks of shut-eye before boarding. Alas, that was not to be. After checking in and getting luggage tags we were directed to a waiting lounge. This is where all who are traveling to the U.S. Are asked to wait until their flight time is called, after which we would be guided back through the terminal to go through customs.
