    ... After exploring the zoo (well, as much as I wanted to), I sat down for lunch at a restaurant over looking one of the small ponds they have in the zoo. It was so nice to be away from all those maniac children who act like they are from the zoo! Lol. For lunch I had the veggie burger with a side of homemade chips... It was so good. But I need to stop eating burgers because I'm "burgered-out!" And no more fries either! Man I feel like im gonna put on a lot of weight... But hopefully ...

    ... Park and Millennium Park, with a long stop to gawp at the Chicago jelly bean (Cloud Gate). I'm normally dubious about some modern art, but there is something enthralling about this 110 tonne of smooth polished metal that reflects and warps the Chicago skyline.

    More walking followed as we went to Navy Pier. This was a little tacky and overly touristy, but enabled us to go on a ferris wheel which offered good views of the city's skyline from the sea...I mean ...

    ... where most everything was closed ( mainly because Labor Day marks the end of Summer/Summer season ) back then to Lincoln park for veggie curry and a few drinks. On getting back to hostel was quiet but annoying woken by a late arrival traveller who selfishly put on all lights waking everyone up at 2am !     Highlight of my day was surviving rush hour traffic on my bike. I think I would be more scared to drive here than bike.
