    Going home

Stayed over in Charlotte last night. It was our first experience with AirBNB and it went well. Jonathan and his partner were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. On the other hand our flight experience was not nearly as good. USAir/American Airlines really screwed the pooch. They were asking for volunteers to give up seats and we decided ...

... sheer size of the houses! Blocks and blocks of beautiful properties filled the street but each one also had its own sense of privacy as there are so many trees in Charlotte separating each one, and no fences! It is absolutely magnificent, and not even 15 minutes outside of Charlotte city centre so from a commute perspective must be a dream. We could definitely see why everyone we came across seemed so very happy. North Carolina, you are gorgeous!

Mike Jette, Meredith Graves and I left Charlotte on a mission trip to Mwandi. We flew US Airways to Kennedy Airport in NYC leaving at 7:50 AM. Then flew on South African Airways from NY to Johannesburg leaving at 11:15AM and arriving in South Africa at 8:30 AM the next day. Long flight!

    words to remember:
