... van serving every flavour coffee you could ever think of.. The random shops included a knife stop that popped out of no where, with a 50% off sale mind you, I didnt want to stop for fear of getting more than we bargained for given the location... there was also so random little fudge shop about 10 miles from Lavenworth that just came out of no where and disappeared back into no where.. Makes you wonder who actually goes to these places..
HAPPY NEW YEAR - WELCOME 2014!!
We left the beautiful cabin in Pine Forest on New Years day and headed home via the quirky little Bavarian themed town - Leavenworth. To escape the FREEZING cold we found refuge in a Bavarian café for lunch to enjoy warm cider, schnitzel, sausage and sauerkraut. Delicious!
A quick stop to purchase a Pork Knuckle and some chocolate coated pretzels and then back on the road - Seattle bound.

We headed out again. As we want to avoid the I 5 congestion from Olympia through Seattle we headed east toward Yakima then back toward Ellensburg. We are at a RV Resort (???) behind a Days Inn, next to I 90, a truck stop, and of course the required trains. We plan an early start and go only to Mount Vernon. We decided not to cross the bridge on Saturday PM We will stop and get gas and propane at the reservation Sunday AM and be home midmorning.
Only a couple of days until our adventure begins. The packing has started and already the suitcase has shrunk! Could it be that I am overpacking?
