... part of Texas. At least we don't have to shovel snow or deal with ice.

Our plan is to stay here until the end of March when we will start our trek back to CT. As of now, our plan is to spend our summer in Maine.

Not much else --- we continue to love retirement........there is nothing like it.

Keep in touch folks. We'd love to hear from you.

      Lots of Love,
      Ev, Bruce & Sandy

... Many of the people have been coming here for years. It's great because we've gotten a lot of tips from them on the places to go and the places not to go. As long as the weather is warm, our neighbors in the cul de sac all get together for happy hour in different campsites each afternoon. We don't participate every day, but have definitely participated in a few. It's really a time to just sit ...

This is an RPI Park - not great, but only a half hour from Corpus Christi, which we want to check out.
I have blood tests scheduled for tomorrow morning in CC, and afterwards, we'll explore the USS Lexington, the aircraft carrier and museum docked in Corpus Christi.

... had displays of the cowboy life including a calf roping competition, demo’s of branding (not on animals), leather working, and campfire baking (actually pretty tasty).

Given our location, Dessa required some seafood (in the form of fried catfish and shrimp and hush puppies with fries – she is Texan). Trip Advisor reviews suggested Catfish Charlie’s as a good candidate and they were right. We ate there twice.

We arrived in Rockport, TX on Monday, 11/3. We booked only a temporary reservation because we weren't sure whether we'd like it here or not. We were originally planning on heading to Victoria, TX for the winter, but our minds changed pretty quickly. On our first day, we did a lot of exploring and decided this was the place for us. We are planning on staying here through the winter (at least until the end of March).
