... The precious thing was panting a bit, but okay. It
clung to my finger and I could feel its prickly toes on my skin. It
was a wonder that it stayed put. I held it up on my finger and we
looked at each other. Then, I lowered it to a tree stump and it
slowly crawled off. You're welcome, little one!

After lunch, Nora and I talked as we
waited for Tess. It was a hot day with almost no clouds. People were
        everywhere and I ...

a nice red and now my face burns. Awesome, that's all it takes now,
apparently. We talked about Sparky and Bozo, the two camels they used
to have and about the littering issue at the farm. I got a better
sense of their land and place there.
I may have done nothing the first half
of the day and all of everything the second, but I am ready to
        retire. 20.30, what a crazy ...

The best part of the day (and almost
theme of it), was when we were scrubbing one enclosure and she
introduced me to the koalas. There were two males in there, Matt and
Yeti. Leah told me how each one is described as being hard to work
with (more choice words than that are used) or a darling. Yeti is
stubborn and wouldn't move for the scrubbing, so I worked around him.
His little white speckled butt was in my face. I did not mind at ...

        Back Home to Brisbane

A travel blog entry by jimtrap on Jun 02, 2015

Tuesday 2 June 2015 - Last entry !! The flight home was uneventful and smooth, arriving in Brisbane half an hour early at 7am instead of 7:30am.

By 7:45am, we were in a taxi and heading for home. We are both feeling well although tired for the overnight flight. We will sleep well tonight.

The trip has proven to be a good one in terms of who we travelled with, Peta and Paul, and the places we ...
