Taz-MANIA!

Hi Mates! It's Ings. It's April already, that means springtime in Colorado! Spring skiing, those first sunny days at the park, busting out the tank tops!!! I hope you are all out there ejoying it and you better have a Sunday Funday for me Guys!! It's fall here in the little island of Tasmania, cloudy skies, rainy days, and perfect weather for a car wreck. Eek, we had our first major accident, in a giant rainstorm, the roads were slicker than black ice and we ended up down in a ditch after tak...

Day 302-308: Brisbane

Monday 11/07/05: Other hostels, cross River...Pauls factory, southbank, Had a lay in after last night, pretty much buggering up the morning. Had a whinge to reception coz the shower is never hot, it ranges from lukewarm to cool, they claimed they'd get the maintenance guy to take a look. Walked over to Roma St to do some net stuff at the cheap place, then wandered around a couple of hostels just to see what they were like as my prepaid week at Bunk finished tomorrow night. Wasn't particularly...

My Australia Trip!

... Was really good to speak to her +let her know about everything! The rest of the time at the hotel was OK, until I think Friday, when Barbara just like lost it + started shouting at Rhi infront of every1 at the bar! Like any normal perosn, Rhi got a bit upset, + when she was on the phone to her mum just passed comment on it. Next thing we knew, on Sunday was that Visit Oz had phoned saying we weren't happy in our job + was going to a new job in a ...

Brisbane / Gold Coast

... Don't get me wrong, it wasn’t all bad! The Steve Irwin memorial they had was pretty cool, and they had a huge area with wallabees and kangaroos that you could feed which could’ve kept me entertained the whole day! They also had a couple of red pandas on exhibition from china, sooo adorable!! I usually don’t mind travelling alone, but for the first time wandering through the zoo by myself I wished I had company! I remembered going to the Toronto zoo with dad and ...

... back up the other road and found what we were looking for. Aplace called the Zoo the flyers said there were live bands on and the entrance price was $40 we went up anyway as it was late and the doorman just stamped our hand and let us in. Apparently the support band hadn't shown up or something. Anyway we watched the end and a couple of encores of a kind of folk band thing and the guy was called Tim Flin. He played 1 song I new, the 1 Crowded house song I ...

Home Sweet Home

Picture From the new year's ev'

Few pictures from the new year's ev. we had 24 hours of sound non stop. Some of the pictures was taken in the morning, and still few people were still up to finish the party. Of course i was on of them;) It wasn't like any other festival i've been too, no security no police just friendly people who want to enjoy the night out in the bush. What a great way of starting this new year:) ps: Mathieu, i thought about you, i'm sure you would have enjoy it brother!

Departure!

And I'm off... Wow. I have nothing deep or meaningful to say about the fact that I'm leaving- only that I'm going to miss everyone this summer... Wait, how's this for deep (stolen from an old friend): When we part, I'll say see you later, because to say goodbye is just too damn hard.

Phase 3: Brisbane

... restaurant. Ironically enough it was even worse as we were stuck there waiting for the check for well over 45 minutes! Not only did we get ignored by the staff even after we asked them to bring the check, but I had to march into the kitchen and demand that they give me the bill or in the next minute or I am walking out (I had never been so tempted.) This pattern continued throughout the rest of the trip, and we found that the best strategy for ...
