... a bit out of the way for getting to Salzburg but many pretty scenes, houses and mountains were evident on the road there. This little town is very pretty indeed – high, snowy mountains and a great big lake. Plenty of pretty little houses also. After lunch we hiked a short trail that went backwards and up to the Swarovski Oberservatory, which was made of glass and shaped like a crystal (because Swarovski is a famous crystal company). The views were incredible, although it was very warm inside all that glass. We also saw these weird structures scattered all over the side of the mountain.
