Late lunch today at a farmhouse. Being a Sunday it was busy with other customers too, a communion party and a birthday. The meal was full on! Started at two and didn't finish till four thirty. First lots of antipasti - caponata, fresh ricotta, battered vegetables, stuffed tomatoes, focacias, chickpea slides. Then lasagne of ricotta, spinach ...

We also stop for our daily dose of gelato! Yummy! We take lots of photos and enjoy the beautiful day. We head back home around 6:30pm and Rino and Steven want to go for a swim in the indoor heated pool. While they do that, me and Rosa ...

... April 30 we hiked La Rocca. As you can see by the photos, this hike up to the castle offered us the most amazing views of the entire city far below and the sea for many miles. The castle was built by the Arabs in the 9th century then the Norman conquest in 1061 forced them out and back down to the sea. Not very nice of those Norman dudes but actually I would take that sea over living up on that hill anytime. Running to the grocery store would be a real pain ...
