... to that part of the day since that is the most exciting part! Around 5pm, I moved my stuff over to Ryan and I's hotel room, just a short 10 minute walk from where I had been staying for the meeting. We went out to the canal area for drinks on a cool floating dock. Then we had an amazing pizza dinner at La cucina de Bea Benny, ...

We had two nights with our friends Anna and Roberto, whom we had first met in Morocco earlier this year.

We found their home easily with our GPS. We were pleased to see them and they made us very welcome. It was special to stay in their house in the country. They grow grapes and have lovely grounds and home. We enjoyed the food and company. We learnt a lot about travelling in ...

We wound our way ever upward from here on a narrow switch back road through pine forest and snow becoming deeper by the kilometre. We reached the top of the plateau, I cannot describe the view. We were looking west over the Dolomiti's, all snow covered and rugged, truly rugged. I think we were viewing a massif, or several massif's! ...

... we decided to catch a waterbus down to St Marco to have a look around. It really is beautiful here. Although I have to say a lot if the buildings look dilapidated. The waterways are chaotic with gondolas and ferries going every which way! As per the car parking there are no rules on the water ways. You just have to dodge other boats or back up! The harbor was beautiful. We watch 3 huge liners leave on a cruise, and watched the sun set sharing a glass of ...
