    ... There were regular windows at the top - to let the light in - so you could see the most magnificent paintings on the wall and the ceilings. The church was totally white/cream on the inside . Rudy said that since most of the population was illiterate, the paintings were used to illustrate the bible to them. There were so many. It was just beautiful. Words can't do it justice. Hope a few pictures do it a little justice.

    Our first dinner was wonderful. We sat at a table for six. The waiter said his name was Bogdan, but we could call him Bob. He is from Romania. There seem to be lots from Romania. The maitrie 'd is also. He kept coming by to check and saing "any pain, any bruises?" The first meal was wonderful. We had a little more orientation in the lounge then off to bed.     Cesky Krumlov is a small town of 14,000 in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Construction of the town and castle began in the late 13th century at a ford in the Vltava River, which was an important trade route in Bohemia.

    " Wait! How about Toey , (our son), I wonder where he is now. He must have arrived here already because he left Prague this morning." Toey is studying Chemistry for PhD in Oxford and we arrange to meet him here.     ... to fill time before brewery tour. I c/n get access to my Aeroplan so emailed home to see if the problem was at this end. Arjan came up to the room, hearing a few of my 'hey hey hey' Rose quips.

    Off c 1030 for the walk to the brewery, Rose in charge of directions. The art store was readily visible with its doors opened [for a later visit].
