... market, but we only had one night there, barely enough time to enjoy the atmosphere. Compared to other markets and such, we found shopping was better in Innsbruck compared to Munich. Swarovski crystal originated here and so that was also a big shopping draw. Their most recent orb for Christmas is exquisite!
While in Munich, I took a side trip without Jon to Salzburg, Austria. I've always wanted to visit Salzburg ever since I saw the "Sound of Music". Our ...

      ... now has me
going "off road" and simply has no idea where in the world I am going.
Once right down in the valley I can see loads of maintenance work going on
up on the cliff road above and now understand why its closed.
As I make my way along this make-shift road I see a truck with about 20
cars coming towards me which gives me hope that the roads open.
Finally there ahead of me is a long queue of traffic and all standing

Tracy and I arrived in Munich from Innsbruck, and Munich became our center spot for our travels of the next couple of days. We went to Dachau Concentration Camp, where we learned about the chilling realities and horrors that happened there. We spent all afternoon there, and I feel like we hardly was able to see the full extent of it. It is such a sobering experience, to think of everything that transpired there not that long ago. We walked through the grounds, and took a tour ...
