At one point on the trip the guide gets his trumpet out, and plays a tune next to the cliffside called the Echowand, and depending on the weather the notes echo one or two times - all very funky ...

I heard knocking at one part and two of the four of us were in the room so I thought the other two were outside the door. I opened the door and there was a dog. A decent size brown lassie dog.     ... in English. The place is mainly designed to educate Germans about their history. The museum is located on top of the bunkers used by the Nazis and you can go down and look through the eerie tunnels and rooms. Lunch was in the adjoining restaurant before we tackled the journey home. Katrina had a go at driving with me as her navigator. She did a great job.     ... again speed along.....speed limit 130kph and have cars tearing past us. We stopped for a coffee break at a roadside stop where a magnificent buffet meal could have been had if we so desired. Their roadside stops are something to behold. Do travellers plan their breaks around these places??? Back on the road and a huge traffic jam brought us to a standstill.     ... and images of St Leonhard, the healer of working animals. It is pretty amazing, although I couldn't help but think if only the cows could talk - "hey, there are those crazy humans taking pictures of us hoofin it down the road with these ridiculous weeds on our head as we **** at their feet...".
