You can tell you are back in Austria when the quality of roads greatly improves and the price of everything goes way up. We were treated to fantastic views of rolling hills, mountains, quaint villages and crazy drivers on our way to Salzburg. (Lots of people do this - it's ...

The weather was generally good, though with the rain showers regular enough to remind us what an ordinary summer central Europe has had, compared to normal.

We spent Sunday through to Friday with Mum and Dad, doing a few chores (the plum tree is ...

... thought, okay sure. But now, while sitting at the end of lunch, he starts telling me the saunas are mixed and you go in naked. Erm, what?
"You go in in your towels, right? And then sit down on the benches with the towel wrapped around you? And surely you can still wear your swimwear underneath?"
"Yes you go in with your towel, but then you put the towel on the bench to sit on."
"So you just sit there naked?" Gulp
