Hauptstrasse, where our apartment is, and passed the Technical University which would be something between a university and a polytechnic (and part of which we can see out of our apartment window). ... city streets and stopped for a beer at a traditional Beisl (where locals go to drink, play and philiosophise) on a pretty little quiet square called Kleines café, and stumbled across a Peace museum right near Mozart house, where we had a trippy conversation with an American guy studying philosophy in Vienna. We climbed the steps of the south tower of Stephensdom, the impressive gothic church with an awesome tiled roof, and fabulous views of the city.

Beaver set off with a lump in her throat as she said goodbye to Vienna and Slug, but was looking forward to a few days in New York at a Marketing workshop. The agenda looked full on but exciting. Arriving at Vienna Airport, Beaver walked round in circles trying to find the business lounge and finally found it about half an hour before the flight departed. Besides the obvious language barrier, our culture are nothing alike. I
was taught to always say Hi! and acknowledge a person when I walk in the
room with a smile. Whereas when she walks in, it isn't until a minute or
two after she's in the dorm that she acknowledge me when with a flat
"Hallo" and minimum eye contact.
