... back to the Hofburg Palace. Here I finally got to explore the State Hall which is the extravagant section of the Austrian National Library. It was every bit as luxurious as I had hoped, with too much detail to aptly describe with words. I got to see some priceless illustrative bibles, books on medicine and the oldest known book from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Albeit they were exact replicas made with the same materials, as the originals which must be kept ...

... was incredibly delicious! Both my friend and I wanted to lick the bowl clean after we'd eaten everything.

Now I needed to come up with a plan for my last week in Vienna. I still had so many things to see, so many places to visit and so many food to try! Many of the neighborhood apple trees contributed to the product. They took some to their neighbor down the road.No sir, you can't make this stuff up!

... eminent museums in the world - it was awe-inspiring and just a feast of human creativity and artistry. We just couldn't see enough in such a short time)The most amazing thing was bumping into our friend, Cindy from Perth, right there in the museum! We then met up for dinner and a jolly catch-up of experiences.

... Vienna.This island was created when the Danube canal was dug alongside the Danube river and is the excavated earth from that project. It is kilometres long and covered in trees and open, grassy areas some of which had been cut for hay. We rode along one of the many cycling paths (no cars here) dodging between the cyclists, skateboarders, rollerbladers etc till we came to the Reichsbrucke bridge, turned right into Vienna and quite quickly found our hotel, the Austria Trend ...
