So up with the dawn chorus or so it felt. We had to catch a bus from the nearby town of Strobl to go into Salzburg and it took almost an hour it could have been longer but Mr T(aka Roy Cropper) kept us and the bus driver on track. Salzburg is beautiful the buildings are vet symmetrical and the architecture of and inside the churches and cathedrals is amazing. Even the kids are impressed. ... and we were both a little tired to be path-finding, so we headed back to the hostel. There were a few unlit dark streets from that point. which were a little creepy but we felt perfectly safe and I told Ness to just act big like a bear if anyone jumped out at us, but thankfully nobody did.

Everyone was up very early in the hostel: the American girls next to us were setting off on their 2 week bike trip to Austria. We were impressed with ourselves for ...

... years old and it is absolutely incredible that she can still hit those notes up in the stratosphere. I will get the names of the encore pieces because they were my favorite of the whole concert (especially the Meyerbeer). I was very close to tears. It was worth coming here just for this one night.

I can't believe I still have homework for tomorrow. Time to get back to the real world and study. ...
