The main, and really only reason for our visit to Pilsen (or Plzen) was … you guessed it …. for beer!!! Apart from the beer, Pilsen has a nice old town, and is the European Capital of Culture for 2015. It is also on the Lonely Planet’s top 10 places to visit in Europe for 2014, so it has to

On the road to Spicak to ski resort area to catch ski lifts for downhill mountain biking. Sadly we missed the world championships which were on here a few weeks back.
