... up to Kleine Scheidegg, 2061 metres or 6762 feet above sea level. The weather was absolutely perfect and actually quite warm, not lower than 14 degrees so purchasing a jacket and jumper really wasn't needed after all. The clothing we have would have done the job. At first at Wengen, we caught glimpses of the snowy mountain tips but as we climbed higher, the breathtaking and spectacular view of Mounts Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau were revealed in full. ... view is well worth it!!

We explored the inner ice caves and the plateau on the peak for amazing photos and great fun. It was a little chilly at 5.6 degrees but warm in the sun :) after our exploring it was back for a dinner of chicken with creamy mushroom sauce with potato Rosti - delicious and the food is MUCH better than I expected! A few local beers with tea and it was in for an early night!

After an unexpectedly gorgeous day and with the knowledge that tomorrow will be below freezing and snowy, we have decided to travel to Florence a day early in hopes of catching some late afternoon sun there. Since both Ev and Suz took pictures there may be some repeats. Keep in mind that what is posted is a fraction of the pictures we took! - Ev and ...
