The rain last night came down in stair rods, we had music playing almost at full volume and could just hear it, it finally stopped at about 2am and what a relief. ... completely off the road and landed strangely on its wheels about 50 feet down in a small brook and they were shutting the road on the 3rd to get it out. Words are rather inadequate to describe the totally fabulous views, with the sun shining and the Gypsy Kings belting it out, it was great. ... quite some effort but eventually we found our way to the bridge and thus to our rural lodgings. This was a dairy farm with a serious barnyard waft but the room was comfortable and large. We went into the town for dinner, and found a busy streetlife and a congenial tapas bar and amiable barman who produced some tasty calamari & excellent olives (& some very good wine!).
