First we visited the (ex) Governor's Palace.
Each group was greeted by a young girl role-playing the governor's daughter -- pretty naff really and I felt a bit sorry for her.

... doings....From yaroslavl came famous painters and the first woman in space - Valentina tereshkova. Lots of industry here and that is echoed along the river which is getting busier and more populated as we head to Moscow. Moscow has a population of 15 million which rises with tourists to 18 million in the season. Our trip around Yarolslavl is not until the afternoon and we seem to able to while the day away quite happily doing very little. The Aussies are entertaining though ...
... a local market. The market reminded us of a more modern West Side Market. Ross and I bought some cheese and chocolate (priorities, right?). The cruise directors were also on hand to offer us samples of many of the cheeses and other delicacies offered at the market.
