30 churches...not necessary
... we had 20 minutes to wait, which we did but it still didn’t open so we went to a Russian café. I ordered some dumplings but then also got borsch as a back up. Millennial Yaroslavl
We traveled the Volga river; through the Rybinsk Reservoir; and past Rybinsk to Yaroslavl. The Rybinsk Reservoir was began in 1932 by Stalin to increase the water level during the summers peak navigational period. The reservoir flooded 700 villages and farm land. The construction was carried out by the forced labor of GULAG prisoners.
