    ... popped back on the underground to Sacre Coer, where we saw such an incredible view of Paris. there was also a market at the top of the hill, selling local produce, and mum and I couldn't resist the organic nutella.... Dinner then bed!

    So today was a day of travel- we said good bye to our gorgeous Berlin apartment at 4am and set off on a flight to Paris. The kids really enjoyed the train ride from the Paris airport with a train that has no driver- they couldn't believe it.     ... so our first task was to obtain tickets for the following night on the Bateau Mouche. We'd thoroughly enjoyed the experience during our previous visit to Paris.     ... us giant chalkboards and propped them up on chairs when we asked for a menu. We went back to the Eiffel Tower to see it at night- it was beautiful. We had such a nice time sitting on some steps watching people go by and looking across the city. Lacy insisted that the tower sparkled at night and I just kept laughing at her and her crazy ideas until suddenly it turned midnight, and indeed, the tower began to sparkle.     ... on our street and the adjacent street. The neighborhood gets together to throw 2 parties a year (july 4th block party & new years eve progressive dinner). We missed this year’s July 4 party. There are plenty of kids in the neighborhood and Emmanuel and Ellie have company. In contrast, we don’t know any of the neighbors in our apartment very well.
