... the rest of the day wandering the streets of the Barri Gotic which is the center of the old city of Barcelona. We walked around a portion of the old Roman walls surrounding the Roman settlement of Barcino which predated Barcelona. Finally, Deborah and Monica had enough of the walking and found a pleasant terrace café to sit and enjoy some drinks. This morning Alfred and I where preparing for aunty Bryonys visit. We bought some fluffy new towels and also chose a selection of cushions for the sofa.   • Definitely sweltering weather. Very very hot. Plan likewise.
  • In hinsight, I would have probably switched my durations of stay for Paris and Barcelona. i.e I should have stayed 3 nights in Paris, and 2 in Barcelona, instead of the other way round. There's not a whole lot of sight-seeing to be done in Barcelona, while Paris - there's so much to see.
