Yesterday, there was a guy sitting on the corner across from where we were having a drink, with his cardboard sign in front of him.       ... and drums started playing their music, as if they'd stopped earlier, and had people with the smaller castellers on their shoulders waving their bandanas around and generally having a great time dancing about!

      ... that motivation lasts! For the most part, the people were pretty friendly but I definitely did not feel as safe as I do in London. I was more on guard than I usually would be but I still absolutely adored the city.

      ... and other Europeans are on this crossing of the Atlantic. The majority are Americans (2,319) and Canadians(491). The other day I met a young couple from Schaffhausen, Switzerland. It gave me a chance to practice my Swiss German.
