... STILL had to do the personal tour and listen to Felix do the hard sell and number crunching. The complex was fantastic and got us salivating, especially when we found out there was a resort in Port Douglas.

We have to admit we were tempted, and would love to be able to give our girls the gift of some great holidays as well. But now is not a good time, 2/3 way into a money haemorrhaging holiday. But they could see the carrot dangling was working ...

And then there's sunrise. I wanted to see the Grand Canyon in the sunrise (I don't think Jonathan believed me), so woke up at 2:30 and 4:30 as I was so excited and then Jonathan woke me up at 5:30 so I dragged him to the cliffs!without coffee (no time) - wearing 2 pairs of trousers and 3 pullovers and Jonathan's hat. With uncaffeinated Jonathan in tow, we walked to the watch tower. It was stunning. As the sun came up brightly behind my flat ...

The one we just replaced has seen much of the west, numerous trips to Cape Cod, tons of horse shows, several construction projects at the farm, and enough photos on this trip that we overloaded the storage capacity of this ...

... admired the canals of Venice inside the hotel. We had seen it in Hong Kong in our previous trip to Asia, and looked exactly the same to be honest, but it was just as beautiful and cool. We kept walking and found a mini-mart and collected our first street booze roadie for the night. It’s completely legal to walk the streets of Las Vegas with an alcoholic beverage in your hand, which makes walking the strip so much more fun. So I got a margarita with coconut water and Aaron ...

... walking around, a dip in the pool, and some refreshing, we all went to Serendipity for dinner, which was really ice cream. We got some apps to make sure we got some sustenance, then gorged ourselves on giant sundaes. Justin and I got specialty sundaes that were a little too big for us to finish. Really, they were probably each meant for like three people to share.

After dinner, Justin, Owen, Stacey, Brenda, Mom and I went out for our evening ...
