What is also interesting is that they haven to burn down the palm oil trees every 25 years and replant and a few years back the Malaysians complained that huge amounts of smoke were drifting across the sea from Indonesia, however the man who has just bought a 30 year lease on the palm oil trees around Bukit Lawang is a Malaysian.
