This is a wonderful hotel, close to everything with an incredibly helpful staff, amazing views from the rooftop pool and bar/restaurant. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel easy to find both when out walking or by car. Bit of a hike to the old city but close to the central shopping and eateries. Lovely roof top breakfast room with huge range of food. Nice to be able to eat inside or out. Loved Nice, beautiful city two days was enough time to see most things, jump on the little train down on the promenade, very worthwhile.

          Last day in France

A travel blog entry by 2bestfriends on Sep 15, 2016

The last day in France was fun. We had a nice and relaxing breakfast with mom, we decided that after we had breakfast we would walk downt he promenade. It was a spectacular day, the weather was cooler after a very big storm the night before. Erin and I didn't hear a thing, but some of the restaurants along the water (built in front of the storm …

We decided to sleep in a little, we needed it! This is the first day in several that we haven't had any firm plans, just ideas on what we wanted to do. We invited mom and Ty up for breakfast at our hotel this morning to make plans for the day. As expected and planned, Ty declined and took about a 3 mile hike to the harbor to do a bike tour. Mom, …

Erin and I woke up and started running. We had to get ready for the day, pack and made the decision to move our items to Ty's room as we found a hotel reservation. After a very noisy night with very little sleep for me, we shuffled our stuff down 1 of the elevators that was barely working and made us nervous. We got our bags down the street and up …

The Train ride from Italy to France along the coast was spectacular. So many little bays and towns to visit in the future. We had our first travelling hiccup though, Matt booked our train tickets for the following day so it meant a few hours in Genova to sort things out.

We were excited to cross the boarder between Italy and France, but it …

... from the idea of a souvenir??
The Colosseum is being renovated. We have an architect on our tour, an Indonesian living in Perth. Jackson doesn't like the way they are renovating the Colosseum. He says that it should remain completely in the old style instead of modernising it. The stone is not the same and the colour is completely different. He has a valid point. He has enjoyed seeing the really old buildings but doesn't want them to be lost in a modern makeover.
