Well, today was a fairly interesting day.

This hotel had a scale in the bathroom, which was unusual, welcome, and alarming all at once. Scales on the road are remarkably few and far between, and so it is a little difficult for us to see what is happening with our weight. ... We went to see the carmels out at Al Sheenya where they do camel racing. Its really a dessert. We didnt ride the camels because they were having a sleep when we got there. I saw one of the Emirs house. It was very big with a long big fence around it. There were lots of trees and it was white. Near his house was the Emir National Guards barracks.
