This is a great hotel less then a 5 minute walk from the old town. Our room was clean and well appointed. On the 2nd floor is the breakfast room with an outdoor terrace overlooking the street and the park. There is an all-purpose store just a block away called Monoprix (food, clothing, sundry items etc.).

We settled into a box sided hotel by comparison to montreux. we walked out past water surrounded buildings (I guess a lot like Venice) and looked around for dinner. I think we're over non-western french food and looked at hamburgers and Italian... When low ...

We were very sad to finally have to leave ‘our paradise in the mountains’, but travelling is all about moving on and experiencing new sights and having different adventures, so we left after an amazing three weeks and drove towards Annecy. Having carefully planned out the route we would drive we were very ‘daring’ and changed it en route to avoid Grenoble and try out a cut through which took us across the mountains. We were so glad we ...

Breakfast in room, walked to train station to see about a trip to Le Cerque, decided not to go, walked to Old Town of Geneva, caught the tram to Plan De Palais, trash & trivia market, then cheese fondue and Vin Chaud (mulled wine) for ...

Breakfast in room, picked up our tickets from the train station and changed some money from CHF to Euro. Walked to lake Geneva, took a boat ride on the lake - very cold out on the lake. Lunch at Burette Les Bains, a hidden gem on Lake Geneva. Walked to Old Geneva Town then back to our room for a ...

... wall. Juliana’s aunt moved to Switzerland from Brazil quite a while ago, and met Juliana’s uncle. They have a lovely son who is about ten years old and full of energy. Juliana had spent the day babysitting him and his best friend, and was therefore quite exhausted by the time I showed up. I also got to meet Juliana’s cousin Priscila who is, like Juliana, in Switzerland to be a live in nanny. Quite amazingly Priscila taught herself English, and speaks ...
