This is a great hotel less then a 5 minute walk from the old town. Our room was clean and well appointed. On the 2nd floor is the breakfast room with an outdoor terrace overlooking the street and the park. There is an all-purpose store just a block away called Monoprix (food, clothing, sundry items etc.).

Sunday 9/14 - After flying all night from the US, followed by a 4 hour high speed TGV from Paris, we arrived in Annecy around 2:30 pm on Sunday for a 3 night stay.
It was a short walk from the train station to our hotel. We settled into our room, unpacked and decided since it was such a beautiful afternoon to take a walk around town.

We ended up with about 10 people at our table by the time the game was over and decided we should play a game. We must’ve spent about 3 hours playing the game “Who Am I?” – what a riot!
... from tiny to horse size tore around the place, followed by owners who clearly had no control over their dogs. I am not sure what was worse, the barking or the yelling! But the view from the top was worth the mayhem, with mountain peaks in every direction and little houses built in all the valleys and up the sides of the mountains. Home to pack for our next stop in Toulouse. Now that we have to wear slightly warmer clothing, packing our stuff into our small suitcases has got so much ...

Finally we got into Ugine and at about 1:00 am we pulled into our driveway - with Carissa swearing that we should never ever stay out that late, pushing ourselves and the kids to the limit, yada yada... (but now that we're home safe, i'm thinking, damn, that was quite an adventure, finally some ...
