Caught the bus to Verudela Beach. Got pizza for lunch. Pula has a lot of Italian influence so the pizza is very good. Then we got tickets for the blow up playground in the water at the beach. We climbed up the rock climbing wall and jumped off and jumped on the trampoline and went down the slide into the water. So much ...

Three days now in Croatia having travelled from Lake Bled on a very good motorway system to Rovinj in Croatia. We visited the caves at Postojna which were amazing .. A train trip of 2 kilometres at beginning and end with a walking tour in between which was a bit taxing but I kept up with the crowd. The Rijeka airport is actually on an island about 20-30 minutes away from town. At least we got to see more of the surrounding area! From there, we drove west to the city of Pula. Pula is a relatively large industrial town, but the tourist area is very small and its highlights are Roman ruins. We saw a really cool amphitheater (built in ...

Day 4 of Croatia was spent swimming and snorkeling on a popular island called Brijuni. Hours of fun in the sun and truly relaxing! The weather has been in the 90's every day. Took the water taxi back and forth to the mainland. Went home for a couple hours and headed back downtown for shopping and dinner. The food is very different here, it's been kind of hit or miss. Often difficult to read the menus in Croatian but overall has been pretty ...
