    ... to be allowed to visit the engine shed with lots of pits to fall down and trip hazards. And lots of engines in seriously large bits. Good job I have my iPad filled with heaps of books!! We have booked into a little cottage in the village of Tideswell in the Peak District. We plan on doing lots of day trips from this fairly central spot.     It`s the day before the long awaited trip to the USA. The packing is complete. Martin and Sheila are starting the holiday early as they have tickets for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at the NEC so Chris and Gill will meet them at the airport tomorrow to check in at 6.30am. Our flight departs at 9.00am for Newark where we have about 4 hours to kill before flying onto Las Vegas.

    Today the boys head off on a lovely day for their first croquet tournament. Julie and I have a domestic morning, washing and catching up on domestic chores. Then a walk down to the Moira Furnace historic site of an old foundry, which has a lime kiln, canal, and other buildings. The foundry was a large enterprise, but didn't last long.     ... do it once never mind twice. It was time to leave and start our drive to Tim and Barbara's after a 4.5hr drive with a couple of stops we arrived at 5:30 caught up and then a walk through the nice green forrest (we dont have in Perth) it was then time to head off to the local pub and have a lovely english pub meal with a few drinks.
