    This morning after breakfast, we said goodby to Shannon and Steve. They heard wolves in the night. Today we visited the International Bear Centre. They have 4 bears an they are all rescue bears who cannot live in the wild. Again they are part of a program to educate the public. And yet again they have had a bad public relations speil.     ... the people have learned to respect and share the land with the wolves. Then…we got lost! Long drive through the wooded forest, road construction, and then…a sign that said ROAD ENDS!     ... mode soon enough. And while counting stairs, I found the trail to Two Step Falls had approx 200 steps. I'm currently petitioning that they change the waterfall name accordingly.

    Given the complete solitude I did little hiking, resorting to a walk around the lake picnic area and lunch. Still trying to walk the balance between solitude and safety. Not sure I'm winning that battle. I am, however, winning lunch.
